After the success of the SEA Games last year in which Razer was heavily involved, Razer announced the SEA Invitational 2020, a “first of its kind” online tournament with esports across the region. The Razer Southeast Asian Invitational 2020 will begin the grand finale for July 3-5 on June 22 next month.
The Invitational will highlight three of the most popular games across the SEA, including two mobile titles PlayerUnknown & # 39; s Battlegrounds Mobile and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) and one only PC title Dota 2.
A total of ten countries are to take part in the Razer SEA Invitational 2020: Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Brunei.
Only athletes who have been confirmed by their respective sports associations can participate in the competition. The selection will take place in various qualifying games from May to June.
The CEO of Tier One Entertainment Tryke Gutierrez is excited about the collaboration.
“We're excited to be working with a company like Razer to create a platform where talent can shine. As the leading talent agency in Southeast Asia, we want to lead initiatives like the SEA Invitational to develop talent to become a top tier, ”said Gutierrez.
Razer added that the SEA Invitational aims to prepare athletes and associations for the inclusion of Esport at the 31st SEA Games in Vietnam for 2021.
